You will spend 1 night in typical Bohemia village, spend 5 hours in caves and enjoy the beauty of Moravian Karst including Macocha Abyss and Punkva caves visit.

Famous Macocha Abyss is more than 138 m deep and it is the biggest gorge of its kind in the Czech Republic and even in Central Europe. The upper part of this nature unique is about 174 m long and 76 m wide.

Moravian Karst is one of the most important karst area of Central Europe. In the area of Moravian Karst, there are more than 1100 caverns and gorges. But only 4 caves of the all number are open to public. There are Punkvevní jeskyně (Punkva Caves) with their underground river – during the cruise you can see there the bottom of the famous Macocha Abyss.

Tour Description

We will take you into the caves in the Moravian Karst (about 2,5h from Prague), which are not normally open to the public, under the supervision of experienced speleologists. The Rudické propadání cave system – Býčí skála – is 12 km long and is the second-longest cave system in the Czech Republic.

The underground Jedovnice Stream falls to a depth of 86 m along with a system of waterfalls, of which the highest is 35 m. Its dynamic character has created tall underground canyons and massive domes. A labyrinth of chimneys and horizontal caves rises over a hundred meters above the underground stream, which, together with the abundant sinter deposits, is evidence of the continuous karst process.

The minimum year is 15. You should be in a fitly physical condition. It is also experienced for beginners, you will have all the time the instructor with you but it is supposed to be in an active form to be able to go up to the ladders.

Punkva Caves - These caves are of the most popular caves in the Moravian Karst. The main entrance is about 2 km distant from Skalní mlýn – in Pustý žleb under the vertical cliff. This popularity is because of romantic water cruise on underground River Punkva and also possibility to be on the bottom of the Macocha Abyss. Hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world visit these caves.
